Silly Horse Faces and Rainbows

Here are the boys. Orion, Bean and Comet. On this night there was a double rainbow and the horses just happened to be at the house eating the clover when it happened. These aren't the best shots of the bunch but I love all of their faces in these pictures.

We added Bean, the yearling Norwegian Fjord, just a few weeks after we moved in and he has been such a wonderful addition to the family. He has been a great companion for Comet and also serves as a wonderful distraction for Ry. He is as sweet as any horse could possibly be.

It has been so great having the horses at home. Right now I am able to go down to the barn several times a day to brush, clean feet, feed, water and just generally fuss over them. Ry's behavior has greatly improved since I have been able to reinforce little lessons each day. I've ridden him quite a few times this summer and am gaining some confidence in him and in myself.

And we just love the finicky old man Comet. He hates taking his medicine and the more I try disguise it the better he becomes at finding it and dumping his old man mush bucket that I have so carefully prepared for him. Each time he is being difficult I remind him of where he could have ended up!
