Teddy (previously named Spike) was surrendered to the shelter because he was left with family when his owner went to rehab. Unfortunately most of his life has been at the end of a rope and when the family felt they could no longer deal with him chewing through it and escaping they brought him in. Teddy is a resilient guy and although he isn't completely sure what humans want from him he is learning!
During his stay we are going to be working on some basic manners and his food bowl guarding. He has been here for four days and with some consistency has learned to sit and/or lay down at his pod gate, sit for treats, food and to go through doorways and Ken is working on handling him every day.

That is so great of you Sarah for helping Teddy. Congratulations on your new place and loving the photos! You have a beautiful place and it is clear how much hard work you both have been doing. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ally. Let's hope it helps him find a great new home. He deserves it.
