Ellie Hartigan

Ellie, an adult sighthound X, just finished a week at the Dog Ranch. Ellie was a bit nervous at the beginning of her stay. She wanted me to stay very close whenever we were outside together. I found that a nice massage made her feel a little more relaxed and helped her let go of some of that worry.

Although a dignified lady she did give herself permission to play towards the end of her stay. She particularly liked Seamus a little Aussie Shepherd. They had a great time rough housing. You can see from the picture that Seamus thought she was pretty neat as well and would follow her around. She definitely had a fan.

It was nice to see Ellie again. I first met Ellie at the Humane Society and then again when she attended a group training class when she was just a little whipper snapper. We hope to have Ellie back again some day.
