While we were in southern Utah we took some time to visit Best Friends. At just over 3,400 acres the sanctuary is one of the largest shelters in the United States. It is a pretty impressive place and definitely worth taking the time to visit if you are in the area.
Best Friends is home to dogs, cats, horses, pigs, bunnies, parrots and some wild animals as well. Although they are a sanctuary they also adopt out animals. They have done a fabulous job at marketing and are able to bring in the money to not only house and care for so many homeless animals, but also have some amazing outreach programs as well.
The first picture is the visitors center, followed by one of the many outdoor cat rooms, one of the dog octagons and last but not least, a puppy available for adoption.
