In October as everybody returned to school, work and their normal after summer routines, things began to slow down here at the Dog Ranch. Ken and I decided to take a little time and drive down to Utah and visit Zion and the surrounding area. We took Otis but left the others behind (in excellent hands!) and headed south. Zion is beautiful this time of year and we had a fantastic time in the park. We also visited Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab.
On our way back north we visited The City of Rocks, which is a popular rock climbing area, in Idaho and ended up in Spokane where we had scheduled Otis' cataract surgery.
